Viruses, Trojans and Spyware

Many of our customers first come us because their machine has been infected with one or more pieces of malware, the generic name for the galaxy of nasty software that is out there.

There are over 200,000 viruses ‘in the wild,’ with more being added every week. The Good Guys are playing a constant game of catch-up with the Bad Guys.

We have a very good track record of cleaning up badly infected machines. Unfortunately, there have been a few that were so hammered that either recovery was not possible, or the cost would have exceeded the cost of a new computer. In those cases, we have recovered most, or all, of the important data on the computer, reinstalled the OS (operating system), and then restored the data.
